SoundTraxx 884007 TSU-2200 Digital Sound Decoder Steam-2 Series 35 x 18 x 6mm

Ordered 2 steam decoders ,when they arrived had 1 steam and 1 diesel decoder . Called and got a MRA #.returned wrong one ,they sent correct decoder received in a couple days .Very happy with the way they corrected their mistake .

Installed this with a one watt ESU speaker in my bachmann 2-8-0. Sound is pretty good, but the whistle does sound a little fake. Its not bad though, and I only notice it when I compare it to some of my other locomotives whistles. Even with a one watt speaker its fairly loud when the master volume is set to half, but some of the sound volume CVs have to be turned up.

Love these decoders. Great addition to my older steam locomotives. Ill be purchasing more of these.

Im refurbishing a ~20 year old Broadway Limited N&W Class A and replaced the old non-functioning QSI decoder with a DIY circuit board and SoundTraxx 2200. Im highly impressed with the sound quality, ease of configuration and flexibility of this decoder. My first reaction was Wow.

Love these decoders. Great sound with the 28mm speaker. Upgrading older locomotives so I definitely add the 810140 current keeper to keep everything running smoothly.
