Peco N SL386 Code 80 Curved Right Hand Switch Insulfrog

Must have for tight areas you need a turnout. I love the snap and hold feature... no throw required. Peco makes great products and i would use anything else!

My overall experience was great. Like Peco products. Discovered Peco track joiners with them.

Needed a left and right turnout for my loads and empties track loop for the power plant on my layout. These fit nicely in the loop.

I haven't had any issues with any of my Peco switches. They all perform flawlessly with all types of equipment. The outside route appears to be close to a 36 radius and the inside route appears to be a 24 radius. These are best suited to very broad curves. My mainline radius on the inside track is 24 and the outside track is 26, so I had to modify my track plan to accomodate them. They are just about the only readily available curved switch for code 80 track. It would be great if Peco offered them in a tighter radius.

This is a fine looking turnout. Mechanically it appears to function well and other than the rail being so tall, its appearance is good prototypically (if such a word exists) as well. I posted a comment for the left hand curved turnout, also. Those comments apply here as well. One thing Peco could do that would be helpful would be to indicate the beginning and ending of the radii (and angle subtended) of the curves on their turnouts.
