Peco HO/N PL35 Capacitor Discharge Unit

My Pecos wouldn't always throw every time. Now they DO. Only issue- they must use small wires in Peco products. My fat heavy bell wire would not fit into the in and out terminals of the unit. I reconnected with smaller gauge wire and worked fine-- and the smaller wire handled the juice for my turnouts just fine too.

I found that the Peco switch motor with just 16v AC power will not throw. The capacitor discharge unit throws the turnout. I am using Atlas slide switches to control each turnout with one discharge unit for all my turnouts. My power source is an ordinary trainset power supply. Works great.

Significant improvement with the operation of turnouts using the capacitor discharge unit. Made installation of switch machines much easier as the alignment is much less critical. That can be important if you are installing them under the table.
