Lionel S 6-49858 American Flyer FasTrack 5" Transition Track

Great for adding your post war accessories such as box loader, stock yard etc. All you need is a few original track pieces. Works well.

The AF FasTrack is great looking and the Transition section attaches securely to older original AF track. However, the Fast track rail is slightly smaller than the original AF rail. The result is that the mated rails do not perfectly meet and consequently traffic over the connection experiences a slight bump.

The transition between tracks is quite acceptable. Care to align the inner part of the track transition (that guides the wheel flanges) takes a bit of care and screws to hold it in place. The engines weight will cause then to shift if they are not secured. These will not work well if setting up on carpet under a tree. I was able to use mail pickup and animated people station with fasttrack

Works well thank you
