Kato N 23064 Unitrack Wide Catenary Poles for 4 Lines

Kato's catenary system (all styles of poles/supports) look good, but seem like they are designed more for Japanese rolling stock. I had planned to use them for an electrified north-east corridor-type layout, and I found out the hard way that the standard set-up with ground-level Unitrack and under-the-track pole support (shown in the product picture) does NOT provide enough clearance for a GG1 with pantographs. I had to use the pole base set (Kato 23-056), modify the bases by cutting off the bottom vertical extension, and then glue to the layout surface - not really prototypical, but actually didn't look bad after installation. Recommend painting these matte black and weathering with some (very light) rust. I did not install wiring - that's WAAAAYYYYY to much trouble in my opinion (especially for clearing derails and rerailing) - the view's not worth the climb. All in all, it's a decent product. Unfortunately, it's the only widely available catenary system I've been able to find in N-scale.
