Caboose Industries HO/N 220S Ground Throw with SPDT Contacts and Fittings, Sprung

I purchased some of these to fit to a few manual Peco yard turnouts in my layout. Being DCC, I needed the contacts to power the electrofrogs and they work well, easy to fit and look the part on the layout, recommended.

My first experience with these ground throws and they work fine. I glued them directly to the foam with Aleene's Tacky Glue and pushed HO track nails through the holes into the foam. I also drilled an extra nail hole near the other end on the side opposite the contacts assembly. One hint, if using these with HOn3 Micro Engineering turnouts and operating Blackstone K-27s, use the pin on the end of the ME connector! If the end pin is cut off to use the pin closer to the throw, the throws will be too close and the K-27's crank will hit the throw if the crank happens to come down next to the throw. I know from experience and had to make new connectors from brass and move the throws out from the turnouts after fully installing and wiring them.

These ground throws look great and hold the moving points firmly against the rigid rails. They are small enough to blend in, but a good size for fingers to grab and throw. I would definitely buy more if I need them.

From my initial purchase, to receiving the products, no glitches. I'll definitely be reordering in the future.
