Blair Line HO 124 Handcar Set-Off Kits (3)

Handcar set-offs were used by track workers, section gangs, signal men and roadmasters as a place to clear the line for passing trains. They were also used as a convenient location to turn handcars and motorcars. Some railroads specified set-offs to be placed every mile or so and often at signal and siding locations.
