Atlas HO 571 Code 83 Track 12.5-Degree Crossing

Works perfectly for my Figure 8 double crossover reverse loops!

I have been adding all different degrees as I don't want to be laying track and not have the right size. I have several Atlas and Walthers crossings to use as I lay the track on my newest layout. Quality is decent, typical Atlas-always worked sell on previous layouts...

The biggest issue I have with this crossing is that my Flying Scotsman derails almost every time it goes over the crossing and many of my freight cars derail as well. It looks like there is some built up plastic between some of the rails causing the flanges to bump up and causing the wheels to go off the rails. My diesels can go through it with a derailment every now and then but if they go slow, the engine looses power.
