Atlas HO 190000 Barber Roller Bearing Caboose Trucks

I needed to replace some trucks on an older Atlas wide-vision caboose I am detailing, but I wasn't sure if the bolster and mounting screw areas had maybe changed over the decades. I was pleasantly surprised when these trucks arrived to find there had been no change in the truck mounting design between much earlier runs of these cabooses and newer versions. Sometimes, no change is good... I have discovered, however, that the coupler pockets on these older models place my standard replacement Kadee #158 (medium) or #153 (short) couplers too low when the original horn hook XF2 couplers are swapped out. The ride height is good with the new trucks, compared to one with original Atlas trucks. So, it is a coupler pocket height problem.

I like these for my 50' cars.

Been a repeat customer for yrs due to great sale prices & top notch cust serv.
