Atlas 66 Deluxe Under Table Switch Machine with Relay

tried 4 of them, good paper weights, right now I'm not happy with atlas at all !

After installing many #2065 switch machines on our large 'N' gauge layout, and have about 30% of them stop working properly, we started using #66 machines. Although the Atlas packaging is not quite clear on what gauge their meant for, they work just fine with Code 55 'N' turnouts. These are built a bit stronger then the other machines and easier to wire up as the screws aren't prone to stripping out. These #66's would be a good choice for any small-gauge layout. Larry M., NJ.

Agree with previous concerned party. Atlas claims support up to 2 inch depth, I have tried numerous ways to get these to work at 1 1/4 depth and the pin strength only bends inside the motor and will not move turnouts. The turnout is free of any glue or hindering movement that would prevent Atlas switch machine to operate. E-mail request for RMA support to Atlas have no suggestion. These have to be thrown away along with I spent close to $75.00 for NCE DCC control that is also now wasted.Please note the machine is fairly effective at 1/2 table depth with their 2 pin.

Very nice snap switch. Works well all of the time, but it's more than just a switch. It can control signal lighting as well as control panel lamps. The only problem I see with this switch is that it's kinda big. Especially if used in a RR yard setting, where switches are very close together. I really had to plan my yard around the positions of the under table switch machines and any cross braces in my benchwork.
