The GE ES44AC is a six-axle, 12-cylinder, 4,400-horsepower diesel locomotive and is among the most common locomotives on today's railroads. With nearly 8,000 units produced, it stands as one of General Electric's best-selling locomotive designs.

Part of GE's "Evolution Series" (commonly referred to as a "GEVO"), the ES44AC is a flagship model in the modern locomotive industry. Over the years, the Evolution Series has seen several variants, including the ES44DC, ES44C4, ES44DCi/ES44ACi, and the ET44AC/ET44C4.

In addition to widespread use in North America, these locomotives have also been exported to countries such as Brazil, Kazakhstan, Australia, and Egypt.

In addition to the Paragon4 Series models, we are also offering these locomotives in our Stealth Series. Stealth Series models are No-Sound / DCC-Ready models that operate on DC out-of-the-box, or a modeler can easily install their DCC decoder of choice. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional. Other lights are always ON with track power. Each model boasts road-specific details and lighting.
